Maytag washer, agitator lock after repair

Hi,

Got a Maytag MAV3905AWW about 8 years old, was still working but was very noisy, so i changed the trust bearing kit, the snubber and the rotor & lining asy brake.

Spin is ok, no noise at all, but the agitator look lock, won't move and make a sound like the motor is forcing.

Any idea how to solve this issue.

Thanks

no idea what you are saying, (the agitator look lock) did you put plenty of lube on the ramp of thrust bearing. part must slide on plastic ramp to lift transmission off brake.

A lot of lub.

The brake can be realease and spin mode work perfectly.

The agitator shaft dont move at all.

Maybe the transmission is dammage.

Be sure the pump is in good condition. My pump gave me no warning. I replaced the motor, timer and lid switch before I found out the pump shaft was seizing and preventing the belt from moving the agitator and spin tub.

Transmission is lock, cant move the lower shaft even manualy.

Case close, i bought a new washer, the transmission would cost more than 400$, not worth it.

Thank for the reply
