Cool AMANA NTW4501XQ0 -Shorter Washing Cycle?

I just bought my house & it came with an AMANA NTW4501XQ0 top loader washer. The washing cycles are very long (over an hour) and waste so much water. I checked the manual & there is no mention of a shorter cycle. Any ideas? I can call Amana, but I'd have to wait until Tuesday & that's a lot of wasted water...Thanks! Jina

I see on the dial.... Normal, heavy, light, etc. Those would control the length of the cycle. I've left the link to the owners manual for your machine.

Thanks Pete, but as I said in my original post-I checked the owners manual & there is nothing in there in regards to length of washer cycle. And, in fact, the last load I washed took 2 hours.....

You have a hi- efficacy machine made by Whirlpool, It uses low water and has a power saving motor. there are no controls to change time. It will save you money on water and power usage even if it runs longer. Usually uses about 6 to 10 gallons of water per fill, the old ones used 25 gallons of water per fill. If you need repairs Whirlpool parts fit washer and usually cheaper even tho the same part.
