Accessing agit dogs on Kenmore washer
Greetings,
I have a Kenmore series 7 washer whose agitator no longer agitates. I successfully completed this repair years ago, but somehow I'm having difficulty now accessing the agits.
I unscrewed the nut in the center of the agitator. I thought that the center cam containing the agits would be released for removal at that point. I am able to remove the entire agitator, but I can't get to the center cam where the agits are housed.
So, I have an agitator on the floor, removed from the washer, but I can't get access to the agits to replace them. What is the missing action?
Thanks.

thank you carbidetipped. separating the top from the bottom with the method described in the link you posted gave me access. The separation wasn't graceful, however, so I have to figure out how to put it back together after i insert the dog agits.
thanks.

The little locking tabs are not needed but can be aligned if you take care. If one of the tabs bend over straighten out or cut it off.
110 is not model # you also need the numbers after the110. 110 means it is a whirlpool.
