LG directdrive washing machine pump not pumping hard enough

I have a LG directdrive front load washer. It started occasionally giving an error about not being able to drain (OE: OE Error Code - Front Load Washer), but just starting it up again would let it finish successfully. But it gradually got worse and then would just keep giving the OE error if I restarted it.

The drain hose is clear, I flushed it out to be sure. I pulled the pump out and opened it up and there was water inside the pump itself (in where the rod part the impeller is attached to lives). I emptied it out and tested it again, but it still can't pump hard enough. The impeller spins, but moving the top of the drain hose up and down it is only able to push the drain water up over the hump if it is about 4 inches above the pump, any higher and it can't move the water. Is this just a case of needing lubrication so it can spin fast enough, or could it be an electrical problem (increased resistance causing the motor to get less power)?

Is there anything I can do to try to fix this pump, or do I just have to get a replacement?

Please post model #
Make sure there is not a sock stuck in inlet of hose from tub to pump. Check to see if impeller has not come loose from shaft. Never seen one not pump enough if water flow was clear or impeller not broken. Don't know if you have this but test mode are here, Starts on page 15

In test mode do not have anything in basket in spin, Washer will walk out of the room

WM2701HV. There's nothing stuck anywhere, the water drains into the pump just fine. There's nothing wrapped around the impeller or shaft, and the two are firmly attached still. I can't spin one if I hold the other still, so there's no slipping. What is supposed to be inside the plastic casing with the shaft in it? I assume a little bit of some sort of oil to help it spin freely?

Nothing in that case just motor, No lube at all. Have you tried to pump water out in test mode? Water should pump out in a couple of minutes.
