Frigidaire dishwasher not draining

Guys,

I need help as my wife is up my rear to fix this thing.

The dishwasher have stopped draining. I have done some troubleshooting and cleaned the dishwasher as well with CA/Lime cleaner as well. I mean the drain passages are clear.

What I found was the drain pipe goes from dishwasher to the top of the kitchen sink where it connects to this air gap thing and then goes to the garbage disposal.

Now the water does not drain when the drain pipe is connected to the air gap on the top, it does not rise enough. But when i take the pipe off the air gap and lie it flat on the ground the pump starts to send water out.

Can someone help ... has it happened that pump gets old and weak (it is a 7 year old washer). I think i need a new pump but wanted to check if there is a chance it is a different known issue?

I need a model number to help you.

Some units have a separate drain pump and others use a solenoid valve that opens and uses the main pump.

this is the pump I took out from the drain pipe. It is not the main pump. Johnson SN-3125.
