I have a Samsung electric range with convection oven, and last night the circulating fan for the oven remained on. Typically, the fan comes on only when either convection mode is selected or when the oven is warming up in conventional mode. In normal use, when the fan is on, it shuts off automatically whenever the door is opened. But starting last night, the fan started running continuously even when the oven was turned off and completely cool, and opening the door had no effect. Any thoughts on the problem and possible solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Our Frigidaire dryer installed in 1998 starting making a loud squeeling noise recently. Had a repair man come in who we have used before for our oven, bearings need to be replaced cost would be around $400. He recommended that we not do the repair and buy a new dryer. Buying one is about double the cost of the repair but repair guy said something else could go wrong due to its age and getting a new washer at the same time may be the best long term solution. So we shopped around for a new dryer/washer. Most places are pretty close in prices. First question is [B][U]do ventless dryers take much longer to dry clothes than a vented dryer.[/U][/B] We looked at some 24" Compacts they are ventless, just doing landry for me and the wife. You can get a 24" Compact that vents for a slight difference in cost. This would likely fit in nicely with our small landry room see pic. Second question is [B][U]can you stack front loads than are different brands[/U][/B], my guess is as long as the dryer is not larger in width and depth if should be okay but is it? See shot of my current setup. Thanks for your time or any opinions on ventless systems. If I did get a ventless I was thinking it may be a good idea to leave the current metal hose in place as if we sell down the road we would likely take the new stuff with us. We looked at Bosh & Electrolux non-vented, and LG vented close to the same prices for all.
