Question Kenmore oven/stove F 13 code after power outage/surge

I have a Kenmore oven/stove that beeps constantly and gives an F 13 code. This is after a power outage/surge. I understand from other web searches I may need a new EOC (Electronic Oven Control) and possibly a new Overlay. In this day and age, is it economically more practical to find someone who can do the repairs and pay for the parts and labor or simply buy the new appliance?

And while we're at it, shouldn't the house's grounding have prevented such a surge or whatever damaged the stove?

If lighting caused surge anything is possible. Neither part is hard to DIY can we can walk you through it. Stove guy will be in later. Please find model # usually found in lower drawer area.

Question Yes, I will find the model number and post it here

Thank you. I will find the model number and post it here. It may be a day, a few days, or longer as I run a business and take care of my home and property's many needs mostly by myself.

The stove guy has been swamped with work the past week.

Nice... huh.... the board tells you when it's bad via the fault code F13.

The control board is OEM part # 316557106
The overlay is OEM part # 316419107

Of course you need to purchase the overlay as it's for your particular model.
At one time they came as a set.

Sometimes it can be peeled off the old control and re-used.

You can google the part numbers to price shop.
You could also check with your local appliance parts retailer.

Sears parts online has great exploded views of appliances.

Question Thanks, do the parts come with instructions?

Thank you for this. Do the parts come with instructions how to put them in or where do I find those?

Question The parts are on their way. Thank you.

If you even know a place I could look up the instructions online to put the parts in that would be great. Thank you in advance for all your help.
