LG WM2250CW Washer won't turn on.

SO my wife texted me to say she had bad news. So before she told me what the bad news was I was thinking, car accident? death in the family? we've run out of toilet paper? Well it's somewhere in the middle. Our 3 year old LG WM2250CW Washer won't turn on all of a sudden. When you press the power button . . . nothing. Already checked the breaker and unplugged/replugged it. Still nothing.

What should I do to trouble shoot this thing?

Could be one of 2 parts. first is the control board Part # EBR74798603 I googled this number and found prices from 140 to 190$. The other thing is the user interface (Have not replace many but they go bad.) Try pushing different buttons and see if anything lights up. Take the top off and see if you are getting 120 volts into washer. Follow power cord to the coil on right side and take volt reading there.
If you are going to buy control board or user interface only buy from a dealer with a year return policy. Let us know what you find.
here is user interface part # EBR36870729 found prices from 69 to 118$

Thanks pugsl. I haven't taken it apart yet, but I did come across this. I am guessing I need a new circuit board anyhow, but at least we can do laundry in the meantime.

Worked on them for several years before I retired and never heard of that.
