Maytag dryer issue
I have a Maytag electric dryer that is not drying clothes completely. I have cleaned and vacuumed out the venting. I have pulled the bottom panel and I can see the element heat up and cool down, and I have watched it cycle on and off a couple times but it still shuts off early with wet clothes

Welcome to the forums.
Did you disconnect the dryer from the vent and clean it all the way to outside ?
That's the number 1 cause of the problem you are experiencing.

yes i did, the vent has a dip so I just figured that is where all the lint would accumulate. so i vacuumed from the dryer up and to the inside of the dryer, then I separated the venting and went both ways

How does laundry feel coming out of the washer? Something as simple as a loose or worn belt on the washing machine can affect the spin cycle, allowing laundry to go to the dryer wetter than it can handle within a normal cycle.

Easiest way to check vent is to disconnect it and dry a load of clothes. If dries normally than you still have a vent problem. You can check temperature at the outlet of dryer. Should be around 150 to 160 and cycle down to around 100 than back up. Do this with a empty dryer.
Be sure that you did not pinch the vent in back of dryer.
