You have a Whirlpool dryer with a Amana name hung on it. Common problems with this dryer not heating is the heater element or the hi limit thermostat bad. Do you have a meter? Real easy to fix.
To check either part you need a multimeter.. A cheap one ay Lowes , Harbor freight or HD is around 10$. That is ALL YOU NEED.
UNPLUG DRYER FIRST.
Take back off dryer On the right side as you look at it from back. There is a heater box, Use meter on continuity setting and touch ttwo wires on the top of heater box (this is hi limit thermostat) Should make a sound. next go to bottom ob box there are two probes sticking out of box this is the heater they should also make a sound. no sound part is bad.
Common reason you had problem to start with is your vent to the outside is clogged. You probably had long dry times before this happened.
Here is a break down of dryer. Part #9 is thermostat kit and 17 is heater. Google part # and sometimes they can be found cheaper'

I'm not sure what happened here. There were two or three threads running at the same time for you. I moved the one from gas to electric and replied. My forum partner split my reply from the thread. Here's what I posted......

I assume it's running but not heating ?

First thing do is to push the circuit breaker all the way to off and then back on.
Second thing to check is for 240vac at the dryer receptacle.

Has the exhaust vent been cleaned recently. Any buildup in the exhaust system can cause safety thermostats to open inside the unit.

Absolutely no problem. The multiple threads were confusing.
