Crushed ice, but no cubes

Maytag model MSD2351HEW side by side refrigerator/freezer with water and ice dispenser. Water dispenser and crushed ice dispenser function as they should, and cube dispenser functions except that it dispenses only crushed ice in the cube mode. I did a quick look online and found reference to a stuck lever on the back of the ice bucket on some units, but do not see such a lever on ours. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Thank you, and meanwhile I couldn't leave well enough alone so had to look at it again and figure out how it makes crushed ice. Turns out, and you probably already knew this, it's as simple as when dispensing cubes the auger rotates in one direction, and for crushed ice it rotates in the opposite direction, so the crushing function is right at the point of dispensing. While figuring this out I manually rotated the motor via the coupler, then the wife pressed the buttons a few more times, and it's working properly again. So am thinking, whether it's a switch or board starting to go, or just a fluke, the motor was not spinning in the correct direction. Pretty elementary on my part, and it's working, but who knows for how long, so still interested if you find anything.
