Dishwasher inlet dripping water

My dishwasher recently flooded into the kitchen while not running. I found that the inlet water kept dripping into the dishwasher. Please see the picture. Any idea if this could be a dishwasher problem or a plumping issue? Was confused about whether to call a plumber or dishwasher technician.

sounds like the inlet valve is sticking open. You need a new valve usually a pretty simple repair. Post model # and we can help with part #

That's a common and inexpensive valve. OEM # WD15X10014
Search using that part number. Even amazon has them at a decent price.

Thanks for all your inputs. The water that drips in is fresh clear water. I verified the high loop to drain is all still there intact. So I will first try with the inlet valve.
