ice maker

Wife in hospital and ice maker quit yesterday, Have not had time to check anything but I would guess water valve. Model # of fridge is 106 50443903 and I think valve is WP2321753. Hope I am wrong about valve as found prices from 130 to 230$. Any other things I should check. Door water works

Sorry to hear about your wife. Hope that it is a brief stay with a good outcome. We had your situation a while back, water but no ice, and it turned out to be the filter. Apparently enough restriction to prevent the icemaker from working. I was skeptical at first, but after my wife mentioned it for the second or third time I changed it and everything worked again. If not that, I’d think you’re on the right track with the valve.

That uses a combo water valve. That's why the price is so high. You could check the coils for continuity. I like to unplug the ice maker and short the power to the solenoid pin and see if that creates a response. The timer could be stuck on your unit.
