LG Washer Stopping In Middle Of Cycle

Hello Everyone,

I have a LG WM2101H. It's a front-loader. It's been stopping in the middle of washing a load, and the error code LE flashes. The water in the tub is not draining. I have been hearing a squeaking noise when operating it for a while now...almost as is something needed to be lubricated. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and what I can do to try to repair this myself, please? Thanks in advance!

Have you clened out the filter in front? If not be sure the washer is empty of water before opening as all the water will come out when you open cap.
With washer empty turn drum ny hand and feel how it turns. If it makes noise or feels rough the rear bearing is bad and is a large repair job. Also lift on drum, dose the drum move in tub also a sign of a bad bearing Dose the drum rub on rubber door boot?

Thanks so much for helping me pugsl!

Yes, I drained all the water.

The drum will not spin at all.

What do you think?

pugsl, I lifted the tub as you suggested and I got it to turn. However, it sort of locks up after it turns halfway.

Sounds like you have a rear bearing problem. Looks like it is a drum and tub to replace it.
