Recommendation on type of adhesive /glue to repair refrigerator plastic part
This is the end of shelf from a 20 year old GE fridge:
https://www.partselect.com/PS299259-...Right-Side.htm
It's a hard plastic. One of the hooks broke off. The hook would clip into the plastic shell of the inside of the fridge.
Any recommendation on what to use to glue the clip back onto the rest of the plastic?
Or realistically, it won't hold the stress as well as the original piece / just replace it?
I tried general 2 part epoxy but didn't feel I got much of any bonding between epoxy and plastic.
Then tried PVC purple prime and glue that you'd use for PVC pipes. that didn't bond at all.

I have never found a glue that works reliably to hold plastic parts together that have stress on them.
I would buy a new one.
These guys say they have it in stock

Refrigerators have a lot of polypropylene which has a very smooth slick feel and epoxy does not bond well but the super glue with primer will work!

Gleaned from the Internet.
"While acrylic solvent cement was originally designed for bonding acrylic together, it works on the majority of plastics used for refrigerator parts."
Do a GOOGLE search : "recommend adhesive for refrigerator plastic parts"
I would use Gorilla glue. I think there is a type for cold applications.
Also the web site called This to That.

For a repair like that I use super glue with primer and hot glue.
The parts need to be sanded for the hot glue to bond.
