Why is my Samsung dryer getting so hot now?

I have a Samsung Model DV42H5200EW/A dryer. Lately it was getting very hot where the wife/kids barely can touch the clothes when it's done drying. What should I be checking? Should I stop using until I figure out what's wrong? If the vent to outside the house is plugged somewhere, could it cost the dryer to get so hot?

Many thanks in advance!

If the dryer is producing heat then the dryer is operating and from experience that would indicate that air flow is compromised to the point the high limit thermostat has not quite been reached.

Have you checked for lint in the duct?

The main reason the dryer gets hot is the vent to the outside is clogged. I would quit using that dryer unless you want to replace the heater element. Get vent cleaned or clean it yourself.Samsung dryer are the most sensitive to heater failures from blocked vent. I must have replaced about 50 of them for that reason.
