Samsung oven convection fan

The convection fan in my range (NE59J3421SS) stopped working recently. I assume the motor died and the whole part needs to be replaced. Is there anything else I can check/test before I go out and buy the part? Based on the problems I've had finding parts for a 5 year old dishwasher, I'm guessing finding the part for a 5 year old range could be just as difficult.

The one thing I have tried based on a video is manually turning the fan to make sure it turns fine without the motor. No noises and no difficulty moving it when I tried that.

I looked it up and the fan seems readily available.

Pull the unit out put it in convection and see if the motor gets 120 volts.
If yes then it is the motor,
If not then it is something else probably the control board.

Or you could disconnect it and use a cheater cord to see if it runs with 120 volts applied to it.

I see the motor...... part # DG96-00110E is widely available. I also see a very expensive fan blade nut as a recommended purchase when replacing the motor. That may mean the nut is hard to remove. You may want to confirm that when making your order.
