Frigidaire ice maker not making ice

Hello,

Yesterday the ice maker in my fridge stopped producing ice but the water dispenser works as normal. I read that the water line could have frozen over? If that is the case how do I track that down?

Could I unplug the fridge so it thaws a bit?

The ice maker is not usually affected by a frozen line.
There are several reasons for no ice.
1) ice bin thinks it's full
2) fill valve defective
3) defective ice maker

A fridge model number would be helpful to determine the type of ice maker you have.

I also noticed that the ejector blades still rotate as if it thinks there is ice to eject. Seems like a defective fill valve solenoid?

Below is a manual it may not be an exact match to your unit but is probably close.
The info on the ice make is good and starts on Page 60
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzI...pOQnV6ZE0/view

Get a hair dryer and thaw out the feed tube at the ice maker.
It may be frozen shut.
If this is the problem then as a permanent fix you should also replace the water valve re: it is not closing properly and is dripping. This freezes and eventually clogs the feed tube.

Also could be just a bad valve not opening or a number of other things.

ejector blades still rotate
If you are talking about the ice dispenser section...... that will work regardless of ice in the bin.

Does the ice bin bail arm (blue arrow) feel like it's working ?
It should lock in the up position and lay all the way down in the bin.
The red arrow is the water inlet area in the back of the fridge. If the water fill valve was leaking...
this area would be caked with ice.

PJMax, the bail arm seems to working fine. It operates as you describe.

But I'm not taking about the ice dispenser in regards to ejector blades. The ice maker's ejector blades (#18 in the schematic). The fingers that scoop the ice cubes from the ice tray and into the bin.

I checked the small plastic box at the bottom of the feed tube and it looks clear of any ice buildup.

Well I decided to turn on the ice maker this morning after having it shut off for a few days. It just started working again and it's been working all day lol
