Looking for new electric range

Not sure if this is the correct forum, but the wife wants a replacement range and needs to be electric and doesn't want an induction cooktop.

Edited to change...looking for convection, not induction.

Since there are so many models with similar options, I'd like to ask about which models to either avoid or pursue as the electrinic guts can either be good.or bad, and I don't work on them so I'm asking here as I don't trust all the reviews.

Width is 30", 27 ish depth, and about 47" high.

She likes the 5-burner but not a deal breaker. Looking in the $500-600 but may be able to stretch it a little.

Haven't trusted Samsung appliances but maybe they have changed.

Just looking for opinions, good or bad....thanks.

I'm the servicing pro here but I don't make recommendations of new appliances.
Personally I can tell you I see more problems with low end GE and Frigidaire ranges.

Copy that, thanks.

We reluctantly decided to make a decision today, ended up with a Maytag MER8800 with convection. Was on sale as a floor model so price was right.

Pretty much anything I saw from just under $500 up to $600 was very similiar....but an elec range is a pretty straightforward design at that pricepoint so cannot argue.

The Maytag seems pretty solid, we'll see how it goes.

Maytag is a Whirlpool re branded with a few upgrades. For repair almost anything Whirlpool of a similar model should fit.
