How to fix dryer push to start switch

The button came out because I believe a part is missing. I think there should be a part between the button and the front of the panel that grip the box on the back side of the panel. And the part is missing so the box is hanging free.

What can I do?

What box ?

Need the model number of the washer.
You said "push to start" but that looks like a "turn to start" knob..... correct ?

That looks like a GE dryer. The clips are known to break that holds the switch in. The console needs to be replaced. I have made temporary repairs by taping the switch on but it will not hold long. It was a bad way to hold the switch on.Post model # and we can lead you to part.
