Arrow Washing machine not filling

My Whirlpool Washer wasnít filling much. Iím not sure if it ever filled much. Loads would not get submerged at all. I took the back off the machine and looked at the hose that goes to the fill sensor on the control board.

There was a plastic wire inside the sensor tube. It looks like a weed eater string. Itís about 16Ē long.

Is that supposed to be in there?

By the way, im not kidding. The string really was inside the tube.

I have never seen anything like that inside the water level sensor fill line.
My forum partner should be thru and he may know.

Anyway..... that water level is calibrated in the control board programming.
In the following tech sheet..... it explains how to relearn the water fill height.

I removed the plastic wire thing and put it back together. I ran calibration and then ran a clean cycle.

hope it fills enough next weekend when I do laundry again.

In all the washers II have taken apart I have never seen a plastic anything stuck in pressure tube. Hope taking it out works. If I remember right pressure sensor is in the control board. Been a while since I have worked on one.

If the wire is stiff it could be that it is there to stop the pressure hose from kinking.

Note that these units do not add much water to the tub compared to agitator units.
