so I have this washer that we bought 20 years ago. Kenmore Elite top load SM 9710803-A
The thing in the middle (not sure what's called) stopped spinning. well, it spins but the outside portion doesn't. Is there a way to repair this? see picture

I'm not quite following what the problem is. When the unit is full of water.... the bottom center piece (agitator) turns back and forth. The top part of the agitator turns one direction.
When the unit rinses..... both the agitator and the tub spin at high speed.
Hey guys, I have a Maytag top load washer, and the water inlet valve has screens that look like this (see pic)
Are these removable and if so, how? Dont wanna damage them if they are not removable.
