Dryer making a very high pitched noise

Of course it didnt make this noise during the inspection but now that we actually want to use it, the dryer ran quietly for about 5 minutes and then started this very high pitched noise. It's a GE, not entirely sure of the model. It still produces heat. Any chance this is an easy fix?

Thanks

The model number should be somewhere in the door opening.

That dryer may have the rear ball type bearing.
Common problem to make noise due to lack of lubrication.

Belt and pully could be a possibility. Need to open it up to locate the noise!

You are correct..... belt and pulley can make noise.
In this case it's a metal squeak. GE and Frigidaire dryers have common issues with the rear bearing.
I just changed one on a stacker.

Thanks pjmax, the model is dvlr223eeoww.

Sounds like lube would be the easiest/cheapest first thing to try. Ive been looking but haven't found it yet, do you know if I can lube the bearing from the backside of the dryer without fully disassembling the drum? Any specific type of lube? WD-40, Teflon?

Thank you
