KitchenAid Dishwasher not cleaning

I have a KitchenAid KUDE70FVSS3. I noticed it completed the last few washes, but the dishes were dirty and the soap pod was not used up. As a test I ran a cycle with an empty dishwasher, and a glass on each level to collect water. I ran the 1 hour cycle with no heated drying. I heard the sound of water running and periodically saw water draining into my garbage disposal, but at the end of the wash, nothing had been collected in either glass. There was a good amount of condensation on the glasses and inside door of the washer. I have read to replace the inlet valve if water isn't going in, but I wasn't sure if that is my issue. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

After it finishes filling you need to open the door and see how high the water level is.
You can hear when the unit switches from fill to wash.
Usually take about three minutes to fill with water.

Incomplete washing and pod not dissolved can mean the water isn't hot enough.
Usually you can hear the water hitting inside.
I know my own unit I can hear the water hitting the door as the arm spins.

Yes it does sound like you are not getting enough if any water.

Feel the water input pipe/tubing during a fill. It should get hot.
As Pjmax said open the door after a fill and check the water level.

Move the overfill switch float up and down a few times. You should be able to hear the switch.
Note there is a screen on the input side of the water valve that can get dirty.

Thanks. Given the glasses I left in did not collect any water, I don't think any water was being sprayed around the washer. However, the washer did periodically pump out water into the disposal during the wash. So it seems like at least some water is going somewhere, just not being sprayed.

Does that help with what part may need replacing.

So as an update, I have opened the washer periodically running the last test wash. There is standing warm water on the bottom of the washer when I open it mid cycle, but when I open the door there is no activity like Jets stopping, as I remember in the past.

Is the filter clean? Have you checked inside the spray arms to see if they are gunked up or blocked?

Here's a link to a parts diagram that shows separate pumps for wash and drain. Your wash pump may not be working. It may have failed or a control error may be occurring.

Also how much water is in the unit in relation to the heating element.
Most units fill to just under the heating element though there are some that fill to just over it.
