Replacing viking electric oven self clean door latch
Hi, I have quite an old viking electric oven model VES0177SS.
The self clean door latch has recently become undone, trying to close, then open constantly with the self clean light staying on. I've tried everything from switching off at power panel, to running a self clean cycle but I suspect the mechanism has broken and needs to be replaced.
I am able to buy a replacement part on eBay and want to fix it myself, does anyone have advice or experience accessing the part to replace it? I can't see any screws at the front of the oven, and suspect I'll have to pull the oven out from the cabinet, and open at the top of the unit? Many thanks!

It looks like the latch can be replaced/serviced from the front.
The manual below should be the one you need.
Let me know when you have it as I don't leave service manuals posted.
