Dishwasher making surging and clanging noises
My dishwasher (Maytag MDC4650AWW) is making clanging noises, along with occasional surging noises, when it is running. I checked the impeller, it looks good, and the chopper blade is new. Could the wash motor be going out?
I recorded the noises it's making, and uploaded it to SoundCloud (At the 10 second mark is where the clanging starts, and at 1:10 it is making another strange noise. The surging noise is hard to hear, but it's in the recording.):

Welcome to the forums.
What you call a surging noise is definitely a motor/pump spinning.
The whine is usually when the pump is dry.
I cannot identify that other noise. It sounds like what the inside of an elevator control room sounds like.... operating relays. I would troubleshoot by unplugging the wash motor and see if there is any noise then.
