A washing machine Q

GE UBB2090 F1WW

I was running the washer and it started smelling like something burning so I shut it off and unplugged it. I put the clothes into the dryer and they were soaked.

Days later I put clothes into the washer and it ran fine up until the spin cycle.

When it got there it filled with water and agitated properly and emptied.

Then it was supposed to spin and send in water to rinse but nothing happened. No spinning and no water being sent in.

So, my fine, washing machine genius friends, this canít be too hard to diagnose. Itís the control knob, right?

Thank you.

Chuck

Check the belt for wear first. You may be able to just tip the machine back to see underneath.
A slipping belt can be nasty smelling.
