Hoover carpet cleaner not spraying soap from wand

So what are we looking at here? How does this work? The problem I'm looking into is the wand sprayer part that connects where the hole is next to my hand holding the adapter. I'm presuming there's a pump of some sort that would be pushing soap, air in this case for testing, out of it? Anyone familiar with these?

As always.... a model number can be extremely helpful.

I labeled the pump and direction of flow. It looks like it might be driven from an air turbine.
If not.... you'd need to see what drives that pump.
Another possibility is belt driven off the brush.

This guy here.

Yeah the propeller in there moves. How's it activated exactly? If I figure it out I'll update. Gonna take a deeper look at it in a bit...

Looks like an air driven turbine that drives the pump.

Thanks. I was gonna pull that up later if need be. I just wanted to see if I could just kick it like fonze would to get it to work first. Now tho it looks like I have other problems as the water is dispensing from below without squeezing the trigger. I'll be back..

hey PJmax, what's #21 in the parts? That's where I'm supposed to get soap from but don't. I tried to blow through it and couldn't, if that's a bad sign...

I'm also getting soap dispensing at the bottom without the triggers being pressed.I gave them a quick inspection and appeared to be doing their jobs mechanically.

Oh I got it. The wand plug presses the inner tube/button that opens it. Otherwise it's closed. Otherwise you'd get sprayed before you plugged the wand in. Okay, I'll test the whole circuit stop to stop...

pretty sure it's that turbine pump. I didn't mention in the vid I'd previously taken it apart and didn't notice anything obviously wrong with it so I'll take another look and probably end up parting this vac out.

I've actually been dealing with it leaking from below, but I think it's the same problem with wand dispenser with a leaking pump.
