Arrow Whirlpool electric dryer stopped working

My whirlpool dryer stopped working when I went to put it back on after checking the clothes. When I pushed the on switch it didn’t go back on. Also tried the selection knob on the left and nothing. The light was on in the dryer so it was getting power. I left it overnight. This morning I tried it and when I pushed the on switch,it tried to go on for a second but it would not go on. I tried it twice and it wanted to but it would not stay on. Bad power switch?
model LEB6300OW1 whirlpool.

I cannot find any info using the given model number.
Also what does "it tried to go on for a second " mean.
Do you have the tech sheet? Often it is stored in the console.

When I went to push the power switch it powered up for a split second like it was go to stay on but it stopped. I did this twice but now it does nothing again.

If the motor has a start capacitor I would check that. Also see if the motor turns freely. It's bearings/bushings may have seized or worn out. Also check for any mechanical binding or scraping of the drum.

As long as you held the start switch closed did it run and when you released the switch did it then stop?

Yes and it’s loose like it is broke. No spring tension on it when you push it.

OK I may have found it search a parts site using LEB6300 and choose the one closest to your model number.

The start switch if I am correct is actually a relay and it sounds like it is shot.

LEB6300OW1 ...... needs to be corrected. Looks like it should be LEB6300PW1 or LEB6300LW1.
I used LEB6300PW1 which uses a 3979703 tech sheet.

That uses a combination button and relay. (WP3398095) It may not be bad. It may not be getting the power it needs on the hold side from the blue wire. That could possibly mean the non resettable thermal fuse may have blown open.

3979703 tech sheet available on request.
