ASKO cycling thermostat substitute
For ASKO dryer model 7005 I need high and low temp cycling thermostats. OEM numbers were 8001543 and 8001444. They appear to be no longer available. Each was rated at 15A and had 3 contacts which flipped at 140 and 175 degrees respectively. Is there a replacement available? Could I put in two 4 prong universals and wire 3 poles separately?

I understand that the power goes out 1 leg until the limit is reached at which time it stops. I would like to know if at that time the power is switched to another leg or is it merely interrupted.

Welcome to the forums.
Those switches are form C. They have a common.... NO normally open .... NC normally closed.
Most dryer switches are NC only and open on high heat.
Rarely are NO/NC type used. There is no need for it.
I'm not familiar with that dryer so can't comment much more.
I don't think these machines are built here and service info is lacking.
A wiring diagram would help if you have one.
Question.... why are you changing these switches ?

Third time lucky. Hopefully after three threads you'll find this one you started earlier.
You might be able to sub them with two wire units.
How many wires on each one ? (I know how many terminals)
I believe I looked them up and one shows it has a red reset button on it.
Push the red button in to reset.
