Whirlpool Refrigerator, top freezer, no ice maker. In Feb. 2023 suddenly stopped cooling (both refrig & freezer) light on. Hit the thing, moved the dial (thermostat) wouldn't work turn it off and then on, started taking things out and off the top of it. Turn off and on again started working so pulled out and cleaned it all up coil, etc. It worked fine until today about 11 a.m. temperature was 50 degrees and the freezer portion was not froze correctly. Again moved thermostat, hit the refrigerator on the side moved it side to side etc. not work. ok it's a goner, moved rest of items out. then I moved it again. nothing, then about 3 p.m. it just started working. Why? We did have a split second power outage in the area. either Sat or Sunday. would that have affect ? I am perplexed. Thanks for ideas. Refrigerator is about 8 years old.

Hi All, Don't have the model # at hand right now, but am just gonna take a shot at getting lucky and someone will have a little info. We have a LG direct drive top load washer approx 5 years old. The washer has a "Diamond Glass" door with soft close hinges. After the washer door has been closed for several days it will make a loud "POP" when you open the door. It's getting louder over time and I can't help but think that it's gonna fly apart pretty soon. Whats strange is that it only makes the popping sound on the first opening after it's been closed for a while....like over night.. Other words it only pops the first opening in the day and works fine for the rest of that days usage regardless of how many times it's opened. Then next morn it pops again. I believe it's probably something to do with the soft close hinge, but as mentioned I am just hoping to get lucky here and someone else has had the same issue and has some input. I've tried to spray some silicone lube in the hinge area but it doesn't seem to have any effect and i'm not sure how much coverage i'm actually getting there with the spray. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks !!
