2 in 1 washer and dryer

My washing machine need to be replaced. The way my laundry room was designed has the dryer sticking almost a foot further into the room because the water meter is behind it. In an attempt to free up a little space, I was thinking about replacing both appliances with an all in one machine. Anyone have experience with these?

Are you talking about the relatively new GE one with a heat pump? No personal experience, but there are tons of reviews on YouTube.

I've been waiting years to get a heat pump dryer (most are coming from outside North America, and are sized to those markets). This GE combo is intriguing not just for the heat pump aspect but also for space saving.

I don't know anything about heat pump. Here's the first model that comes up searching the Lowes website:

The problem that jumps out at me is that you can only do one load at a time instead of two.

I live alone so the loss of capacity is not an issue.
