GE Profile Microwave shutsdown

We have a GE Profile Convection/Microwave Model #JVM190K for the last 13 years and it has performed flawlessly. Twice in the last week while it was microwaving food it just lost power. I checked the owners manual and it said to pull the plug out and replace it. It did work the first time. I tried it again tonight and it would not reset. All the breakers and circuits are O.K. The only thing I can figure out is, after it cools down it would only restart. Any thoughts why this is happening and how to correct it? Thanks

It could be the magnetron overheating because it has failed, or is near failure, in which case you should just replace the whole appliance.
