MagicChef fridge not cooling
Hi.
I have a Magic chef mcbr445b1 refrigerator.
The other day I opened the door and the beverages were warm and there was no cold air. I unplugged the unit ad waited 20 minutes, plugged it back in, and set the dial to 7. I waited 15 minutes and the fridge did not cool down.
I checked the back and the compressor (# NSA30LACG) is warm.
I am not that savvy when it comes to electrical items.
I am guessing the compressor is the issue?
I am not sure what the next step is.
Any help would be appreciated.

When you turn it on does it sound like the compressor is starting ?
There may be an overload/relay on the side of that compressor that can be replaced. It's in a little black box on the side of the compressor. If it is there....pull it straight out away from the compressor....it just plugs in.
Those compressor do fail internally. Your dorm size fridge comes with a one year parts and labor warranty as well as a five year warranty on the compressor only (no replacement labor).
