Bodum stick blender

My stick blender has stopped working, two weeks out of warranty! Bodum website useless. I wish to examine the insides to see if I can repair it. The appliance has a soft plastic shell with a join on the handle which slightly separates when pulled apart, but no further. Are there 'lugs' that need pressing before separation?
Any advice appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forum! Perhaps someone can help you, but unfortunately, I think this might be a disposible item, much like most small appliances these days. They weren't meant to be repaired, like in the past. The problem is usually with plastic and/or inferior parts used, to keep prices down.

Just FYI... that product appears to have a two year warranty.

There is absolutely no listing for parts for that unit which means there won't be any expanded pictures of the insides of the unit.

Your thoughts about "lugs" is good as that's usually how most cases are held together. The biggest problem is trying to find where to push to hit those lugs.
