GE countertop microwave 2012

My 2 yr old GE microwave turns on for 2 to 3 seconds and then shuts down. "PF" then shows on display. I did try to unplug- no help. Any thoughts???

Just to ask the obvious, you did have something in the oven to warm didn't you?

Welcome to the forums.

Try taking the microwave and plugging it into a completely different receptacle or better yet... a different circuit. You may have a receptacle/circuit problem.

Thanks to all

Thanks to all who replied. None of the suggestions helped. I guess my problem was buying a product made by General Electric (GE). This microwave lasted about two years in a household of two. (Not a lot of use). It's going to the dump- lucky for me at least they don't charge for it. Don't buy anything from GE!

Nothing lasts very long these days. My Mom just changed out her GE stove for a new one about a year or two ago. She got it for a wedding present. Her and Dad would have been married 52 years at that point.

Bloody thing still had push buttons for the temperature settings.
