Conair gs7 garment steamer

The immersion heating element is not working. I tested the connections and electricity is flowing, thus I believe the heater is kaput. Where can I find a replacement part? I've been scouring the web, but without any luck. Thanks

thanks for your reply. the bottom of the unit says model number GS7. When I called Conair they confirmed this was the model number. I have thoroughly de-calcified the elements. I have checked the terminals and they are hot. The terminals connect to a small white disc which is mounted on an aluminum (alloy?) The disc reads CH-150 -CL. I had to use a jewelers loop to see the letters. I haven"t been able to find any parts on the web. Thanks again.

There is a GS-7RXF, GS-7R, GS-7TXR. It mostly breaks down to an upright unit or a floor model.
Possibly the GS7 Compact Upright Steamer ?

That silver disc is either a cycling thermostat or a safety thermostat. It either turns the element on and off to maintain a certain temperature or it opens if the unit runs to hot.

If you measure 120vac directly on the element..... that thermostat is good.
I don't know if a replacement heating element is available for that unit but based on the cost of a new machine.... I doubt it.

I've always had an issue trying to get Conair parts.
