Breville coffee maker leaking

Not sure if anyone can help on this one but thought I would give it a try.

Breville ckc600xl model is leaking at the bottom .. I think it may be because the spring in the water tank which controls the water release valve has lost some of it's tension. But not sure if that is the case or there is a leak in a tube within the housing..

If anyone has any experience please advise as I am thinking of popping for $40. to replace the tank and take my chances.. but don't want to throw good money after bad...

Thanks..

Not sure how you made out with your project. I wasn't able to locate your exact model number. From what I did find is that most of the parts are unavailable.
