Microwave Venting
Can I vent a microwave through the eave(soffit) of the house? This would be easier than going through the roof or the side of the house.

There are two major hurdles to what you want to do.
1 - I don't know of any large size caps that will work mounted in the soffit to seal off the exhaust to keep cold air from coming back in.
2 - Getting the exhaust line to be able to fit over the top plate and out to the soffit.
In addition to that it's not the best place to be venting warm air high in moisture as it will condense and freeze on the soffit.
The most ideal venting method is straight thru the wall. Is that not an option ?
