Sharp Vacuum works Short time
I have one Sharp carpet vacuum. When turn on, it works few minuts, then shut off. I have to wait some time, it repeat On-OFF. I checked belt and dust bag, it is fine. Is it motor problem or others?

Many motors have thermal sensors in them that shut down if the motor overheats.
Do you have a model number for that vacuum ?

I've had that happen a few times and it was always the motor overheating. I've been able to return or exchange it each time, but I think it depends on the store you bought it at and how long ago.

I bought it 15 years ago. It work well in past days, but it is failed recent month. How it could happen, after work 2-3 minuts? Before it works hours w/o problem. My model is Sharp 1300W. (1) How to check if it is thermal sensor problem, if there is sensor? (2) is it possible to replace, if it is sensor problem? (3) can I bypass it and work carefully?
