Sharp counter top microwave model R-409Y

Microwave won't work. Clock is on, timer runs, light is on, but microwave does not run. I want to check the fuses etc but can't find directions on how to open it up. I saw an online video that shows how to access the innards of an over-the- range model but not a counter top.

I don't remember the brand but I had a microwave that blew the fuses a few times [over several months] before it finally died. Unless I'm mistaken nothing worked [no light/clock] when the fuse was blown.

That's a basic countertop microwave.... it will only have one fuse in it. Since the electronics are working.... the fuse is good.

Yes, the fuse is good....I checked it with a multimeter. I'm going to check the door switches next.

I found the bad switch, got a replacement, and microwave is up and running. $17.00 part vs a new microwave. I understand why the manufacturer doesn't want DIYers to do repairs but the security screws holding the case together seem like overkill.
