Steamer 18 x 1/8 thread ?

I have a Wagner Power Steamer. I asked them what the thread is on the hose. They say it comes from Germany (so presumably it is metric) and is a 18x1/8. It looks like a compression fitting. Any idea what it might be?
I googled, and nothing comes up.

If metric, they wouldn't use 1/8. It appears to be a 1/8" x 18 pitch thread, but without a model number or part number it would be difficult to verify.

good point. It is about 3/4" diameter, so I figured it was 18mm, but the 1/8 doesn't make much sense.

1/8" is an actual pipe size that's used. (1/8x27)
1/4" would be 1/4x18.
