hoover windtunnel 3

hey everyone i have a hoover windtunnel 3 that the belt got messed up and i replaced it but it is basically burning up the new belt as well, does anyone know what the issue might be? i have cleaned the brush and everything

Burning up means it is not spinning easily. I can think of 2 possibilities.

1. Belt alignment - making sure that the belt is straight means that the beater bar is parallel to the motor. sort of have to eye-ball it but spinning it a few times by hand should give a clue.

2.The second is that the beater bar may look clean but if it isn't spinning easily, then there is more to clean or replace. Not sure how the Hoover is designed but on my machine, the ends can be removed from the beater bar so you can clean them.
