West Bend Slow Cooker #84176
I have a West Bend 6 quart, 800 watt slow cooker model number 84176. A few days ago the metal tab that holds the control knob in place broke off. A brief search of the temperature control assembly drew blanks. Are there any suitable replacement parts for this temperature control assembly?
The following information was stamped on the temperature control assembly:
98 (was upside down)
49 (next to the upside down 98)
MOD50
L490
P63
Thanks,
King Purple Pimp

I was using my phone to attach the pictures and when I reviewed the post prior to submitting it showed all the photos.
Images 1 and 2 shows a bottom view of the temperature control knob and the assembly it is connected to.
Image 3 shows a side view with the knob assembly on the left.
Image 4 shows a close up of the data stamped on the temperature control knob assembly.

The 98 49 looks like the date of manufacture. 49th week of 1998.
The L490 is the temperature. 490°f max.
Those thermostats are custom specified and then sold in bulk to the appliances manufacturers. They can be near impossible to find an exact replacement. Most are made by Cadco. The following is just a generic link. I didn't find your exact part.
