Microwave Issue

Hello,

I am having a microwave issue. It makes a loud hum sporadically. I took some video of the issue you can view below. Any ideas what the issue might be? Is this something a DIYer could fix?

Thanks

The actual microwave section only heats at one speed so in order to heat an item at slow or medium..... the magnatron is cycled off and on. High would be 100% on while medium would be 50% on and 50% off and low might be 20% on and 80% off.

It looks like that oven is set to high which means that it shouldn't be cycling. That leaves a stirring or cooling fan to make that noise. Post the model number for it.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like you are thinking it might be the magnatron? Here is the make and model. Frigidaire FPBM189KFC

I took the microwave down to open it up to get some ideas and I have another video as it took it a while to do it again. The issue seems to be whatever is on the top center. You can see in the video what looks like some shorting or something happening? Does this help is the issue at all?
