Hi all, The hinge on my Bosch 800 series microwave oven broke, so there is no tension holding the door when I open it. Need to gently lower the door or else it flops down. I saw some DIYs / videos on how to repair, but a bit more research, some people online recommend not to work on your own microwave incase you break the seal and there is a radiation leak. I've never heard of this before and now I'm on the fence to whether do this DIY or call some repair place to send a tech to fix it. Any ideas? It seems simple enough but it does require to take the rubber seal off the door. appreciate all answers! thanks

I have a Bosch HMV8053U over the range microwave with a 11/2017 manufacture date. A couple of weeks ago, it blew the breaker. Service man came out and replaced an internal fuse. It worked for two weeks and blew the breaker again. When I reset the breaker, the microwave was making a humming noise even though we were not trying to use it. I quick unplugged it. Now if I try to plug it in, the breaker trips immediately. Any ideas on what is likely the cause? I cost $600-700 originally. Spent $200 on the recent service call. Looking for advice on whether it is worth throwing any more money at it. Thank you.
