Kenmore vacuum odd hose connector

I bought a new Kenmore elite canister vacuum and was surprised to see that the attachments have a proprietary fitting. I can’t connect any of my older universal attachments. Is there any kind of adapter available so that I can use them?

I have noticed that with many vacuums. Some use generic tapered parts that you can just shove together. Many "premium" vacuums components click latch together or have some other fancy mechanism that mean only their attachments fit. There are so many possible combinations of brands and models I can't imagine anyone makes an adapter. There is always duct tape in a pinch if you've got an old attachment you've just gotta use.

It’s a model BC7005. The cheaper Kenmore uses the standard sizes. I guess that’s the price for getting the more expensive one
