Need new microwave

Hello:

I have a GE Microwave, model PEB9159SJ2SS. It is a convection microwave that has board failure. What I want to do is buy the exact same unit GE made without the convection part. Try as I may, I haven’t been able to find it. Exact size is important because it was installed in a cabinet with a speciality kit that include a front trim piece. So I was hoping to find the model GE made without that feature to lower the cost and eliminate a feature we’ve never used. In case it matters, it is a stainless steel model. Thank you, Steve.

I see two models listed in service. I don't know if both are identical.

PEB9159 - profile model
CEB1599 = cafe model

You may need to contact General Electric customer support

Where have you searched? Have you contacted GE Appliances to ask if they make the model you want? You could also contact a retailer that deals in them regularly, maybe AJ Madison...

Thanks for the help, I contacted GE and they had the model number for the exact same looking unit without the convection oven feature. I found it at Best Buy and installed it yesterday. Mom is happy.

Glad you got your replacement.

For future readers who stumble across this thread, I'll add the info that there is a company which specializes is custom trim for any size microwave (and some other appliances). I used them once and was satisfied with the result.
