HooverSteamVac Roller Brush wobbly
I have a Hoover Steamvac Model 5851 Series 17.9 which is about 22 years old but still works like a champ.
However the rollerbrush seems to be very wobbly, Not sure if that is how it is or if the brush needs to be replaced. Looked for screws but only found a green button like thing that apparently must be a part of the assembly. I have tried prying the suction intake to clean it but the screws are rusted with the heads completely worn off and WD-40 didn't help..
Just want your opinion on the rollerbrush. Do they need to be replaced or is there a screw inside that needs tightening.
Thanks

Welcome to the forums.
Hoover 5851 parts breakdown - pdf (link checked ok)
I'm seeing a brush block with five rotary brushes.
Pictorial # 17 in diagram and Hoover part # 48437022
It appears to be a replaceable assembly....... brush block assembly
On page 14 of the owners manual it discusses how to remove the brush assembly.
Downoadable owners manual
Are we on the right track ?
