Carpet cleaner won't remove water

Or, to lighten the mood, it sucks because it doesn't suck up.

Hoover model FH50150 cleaner won't vacuum up the water from the carpet. I removed the top of the unit from the bottom to expose the filter mesh, and found it was clogged with carpet fiber. I cleaned it, cleaned the rotary brushes, reassembled it, and it still doesn't remove the water. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would check any place something opens (tank) or you connect a hose. You are looking for a suction leak, possibly from a bad or missing seal or gasket.

Hi!
Check the suction power ensure that the suction power is set to the appropriate level for extracting water. Sometimes, adjusting the suction settings can make a difference.
